2 ND ANNUAL CONFERENCE
 

Toward a Common Approach:
Interpreter Training
Programs, Interpreter Services, and the Interpreting Profession


About 150 or so people from across California & as far as Phoenix, came to Mt. San Antonio College for a day of seminars & workshops on Saturday, September 28, 2002.

CHIA's 2003 conference will be in Sacramento!


CHIA's 2nd Annual conference was co-sponsored by the Healthcare Interpreter Training Program of Mt. San Antonio College, together with L.A. Care Health Plan,
the Cultural & Linguistic Access Program of Vista Community Clinic, and the
Refugee Health Section of California Department of Health Services.

CHIA released the new CHIA "California Standards for Healthcare Interpreters" and presented a full day of workshops and presentations targeting interpreters, educators, trainers, providers and administrators
on Saturday, September 28, 2002,

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT FOR NURSES
Available for CHIA Conference!

Nurses can receive 6 hours of CEU credit for attending this conference.  Participants may only report actual training time for the day of training attended, minus lunches and breaks
